Russell Mitchell of Exile Cycles at the Chop Lot Sturgis 2004
First let me say that Russell Mitchell is a first rate class act. As I walked around the chop lot at the Full Throttle Saloon during Sturgis 2004 I saw lots of choppers but not many bike builders, just their minions. Russell Mitchell was there talking with fans and customers signing autographs and had all his cool choppers on display. At many of the other stalls you got the impression that you were watching movie stars not chopper guys but when you saw Russell out there with the fans and a bunch of tough choppers you knew this was a guy who appreciates the fans he's gained. For a contrast check out my OCC at Sturgis page. Many people including myself were introduced to Russell Mitchell and Exile Cycles by watching the Great Biker Build-off on the Discovery channel. He'll be back during the new Biker Build Off on August 7 2006. Here are some pictures I took of the Exile Cycle choppers and Russell Mitchell at Sturgis. Russell Mitchell will be in a new show called Build Or Bust on Speed TV. In Build Or Bust a "wrench" has 30 days to build a motorcycle using parts provided by K&N Engineering and Speed TV. If Russell Mitchell decides the bike is a bike the "Wrench" gets to keep it.
